Turkish Dishes

Hi everyone! Today I will talk about the most preferred dishes in Turkey. I think food is important for Turks.

First, I will talk about sarma (stuffed grape leaves). Sarma is one of the most eaten dishes in Turkey.

Its history dates back to Ottoman cuisine and the ingredients vary according to preference. For example, some people put currants or ground meat in it.




Secondly, I will talk about kebab. Kebab has two main types in Turkey. They are Urfa Kebab and Adana Kebab. Adana kebab is very spicy but very delicious. Kebap contains meat and sometimes onion.






Finally, Turks' another favorite dish is Iskender.  Iskender is made of meat and served with bread underneath. So Turks usually prefer meat dishes.
