Hi. Today I’m going to talk about video games for the blog. First of all I will give some information
about them. After that I will share my opinions.
In the past, video games were not very popular. There were consoles and DVDs to play them. And
they were usually ‘story games’. Story games are easy to play (Usually easy, but there are some video
games which are hard to play). They are like movies. There is a story, and you are trying the complete it.
You do not need any skill to play them (you need for some of them). There were a lot of famous story
games like Super Mario or Donkey Kong. They were among the first story games. And they are still
known by a lot of people.
After the story games, people wanted to play together. And online games was born. Game
companies developed their servers. And they have worked on online games. Thanks to the servers,
they made online games. People could connect the same servers. So they could play together. Online
games became popular in 90s. Half-Life is a well-known example (And it is a story game too). Some
online games are hard. Because you need skill to play them. There is even a type of sport for this. It is
called e-sport. And it is hard to do.
Today, both game kinds are very popular. Some people like story games. Some people like online
games. I like both of them. I like some story games like Portal or Half-Life. I do not prefer online
games a lot because I am not very good on them but I can play.
